Straight answers about taking payments, getting the money, connecting your store and starting with Zahlo.

We review your business details and send the secure onboarding link for identity and company verification. Once approved, you receive access to the merchant dashboard and the setup for the products you selected.

Expect standard business and identity information, including the legal company or trader details, the representative’s identity, a business bank account and information about where you sell.

Yes. In-person QR payments and online checkout can sit under the same merchant account and dashboard. Each product keeps its own pricing model.

A connected smartphone for Zahlo and your existing till for the official receipt and register record. Zahlo can also run on a tablet and does not require a card reader.

No. The customer scans the EPC QR with a compatible banking app and confirms the prepared bank transfer there.

No. The in-person plan is €20 per month with a 0% Zahlo transaction fee. Quick products, manual amount entry, QR creation, Zahlo payment history and exports are included.

No. Zahlo sits beside the existing till. Your register remains responsible for official receipts, VAT records, daily closure and German register compliance.

Supported store platforms use an integration added to the existing checkout. Custom stores can connect through the Zahlo API. Your current payment methods can remain alongside Zahlo.

Online checkout costs 1% plus €0.25 per successful transaction. It does not use the €20 in-person subscription.

The checkout can show a QR code so the customer moves the approval to their phone and banking app without manually re-entering the order details.

No. The SEPA QR contains the merchant's own IBAN. The customer approves the transfer in their banking app. Zahlo does not provide a wallet, payout account or settlement balance.

No card chargeback process applies because the payment is not made on a card rail. Merchant obligations to provide goods, resolve disputes and issue valid refunds still remain.

Refunds are handled by the merchant outside Zahlo as a separate transfer. Zahlo V1 does not reverse or send the refund for the merchant.
